Horizons Rectory School is a tuition-free academic enrichment program that welcomes students back each summer for joyful learning, friendship, and discovery.
Serving students from local communities who qualify for free or reduced-price meals, Horizons Rectory School gives children the opportunity to grow year after year in a supportive environment filled with caring teachers, engaging academics, hands-on activities, and meaningful relationships.
Each summer builds on the last—helping students strengthen skills, gain confidence, and see all that is possible.
Our Approach
Horizons Rectory School combines academics, enrichment, and mentoring to help students build skills, confidence, and a love of learning.
With small class sizes, engaging reading and STEM activities, swimming, arts, field trips, and dedicated mentors, students are supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow as learners and as young people.

About Horizons National
Horizons Rectory School is one of over 70-sites in the award-winning Horizons National Network. Beginning in 1964 in New Canaan, Connecticut, the program was started to help level the playing field and offer educational opportunities to under-resourced students and has grown over time. Horizons Rectory School launched the summer of 2024 with up to 15-rising first-grade students.
