We are fortunate to have Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, CT, for emergency services. It's an excellent facility, and is only 5 minutes from the School. The main phone is 860-928-6541.
The Emergency Department phone is 860-928-7503.
On class days, students may report to the Infirmary at 7:00 a.m. for a sick call if they are not feeling well. Weekend hours begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays and 8:30 a.m. on Sundays (please see below for the complete schedule). Students may not remain on dormitory during the day without the permission of the nurse on duty and only if a dormitory master is present. When the Infirmary is closed, a nurse is on call. The Infirmary is open at all other times for emergencies or sudden, severe illnesses. During school hours students must have a note signed by a faculty member to come to the Infirmary. During sports, students must check out with their coach. For sports-related injuries, they should report to the athletic trainer during practice times. At night, students must notify their dorm parent, who will contact the AOD, who will page the nurse on call.
