The Craig Scott Colhoun Athletic Center is the central hub for Rectory's indoor sports. It includes a classic wood floor gymnasium, fitness center, wrestling room, locker rooms, an outdoor pool, and an athletic training room.

Located on the main level of the Colhoun Athletic Center, our gymnasium is home to our volleyball and basketball teams. It includes space for one volleyball court. Six basketball hoops allow for full-court and half-court games. Along with multiple courts, the gym provides plenty of bleacher seating for spectators.
Rectory's training center, located in the Colhoun Athletic Center basement, features a range of cardiovascular and strength training equipment along with various free weights. Students frequently utilize this facility for morning and afternoon workouts, supplementing their athletic activities. Adjacent to the Loos Training Center in the lower level of the Colhoun Athletic Center, Rectory's wrestling room additionally serves as a fencing piste, which ensures a controlled and safe environment for competitive fencing.

The Hale YMCA Swimming Pool is home to Rectory’s Swim Team. Students get the opportunity to travel to the beautiful facility for practices and swim meets.
The Langford Baseball Field, dedicated in memory of Jeffrey Langford '03, is the home of Rectory's varsity baseball team. Located on the south side of campus, the manicured field boasts team dugouts and an electronic scoreboard.
Our outdoor basketball court, along with a pickleball court and two four-square boxes buzzes with activity all day, every day. You’ll find students and faculty playing pick-up games, knockout, or just shooting hoops during academic breaks, after athletics in the afternoon, evenings post-study hall, and throughout the weekend.
Rectory's 138-acre campus boasts several trails perfect for hiking, bird watching, dog walking, and winter sledding. Several years ago, students and faculty collaborated to create an exciting mountain biking trail featuring switchbacks, berms, and off-camber corners.
Adjacent to our athletic fields, you'll find six hardcourt tennis courts. These courts are home to our co-ed Varsity and JV teams for practices and matches in the spring. Beyond team activities, the courts are a popular spot for all students to enjoy after sports and on weekends.
Rectory’s Varsity and JV Hockey teams call Jahn Rink, located at Pomfret School, their home. The rink boasts an iconic glass entryway and a 200x85-foot hockey arena. It includes ample seating on one side and spacious locker rooms for teams on the other.
Located at Pomfret School, the international squash courts host Rectory’s Squash team during the winter. There are eight courts where spectators can watch from the ground level or get a bird’s-eye view from the second floor.
Connecticut National Golf Course is the home of our varsity golf team. The course includes a stunning 18-hole golf course, two practice greens, driving range, and short game area. The JV team splits their time between Vineyard Valley and Woodstock Golf Course.
The home of Rectory’s Equestrian team that offers a comprehensive experience for riders, focusing on control, balance, and effective horse communication through daily lessons. The program enhances patience, responsibility, coordination, and confidence, while the physical benefits of riding work all major muscle groups and require fine motor skills and mental focus.
