Hettinger Library:

Middle School Program

The Hettinger Library draws students into its bright, comfortable, colorful space and invites them to engage in pursuits of study, research, quiet reading, or a game of chess.

It's a friendly spot where the librarian is helpful, resourceful, and knowledgeable about each student's academic needs.

The library is a bustling place for students and teachers who frequently use the extensive collection of books, periodicals, computers, and online resources. It is a hub of activity throughout the day with teachers and students frequently visiting for quiet or collaborative time. Destiny Discover, the School's online library catalog, allows students and faculty to search through all of the resources the library has to offer.

In addition to Rectory's signature Enrichment Series (see below), many annual activities take place in the Hettinger Library. These include events during Fall Family Weekend, Rectory's Heart-y Party, the 6th-Grade Feast of the World, and the Scholastic Book Fair.

The library is equipped with a Smart TV with wireless connectivity and an interactive white board.

The library is open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and in the evenings on Sunday through Thursday during boarders’ study hall.
