Bigelow Honors Program
Through challenging coursework, interdisciplinary exploration, and advanced study opportunities, scholars engage in dynamic learning that expands their horizons and sparks curiosity. This program blends humanities, arts, technology, and real-world problem-solving to cultivate leadership, creativity, and a passion for discovery. This program is more than academics—it’s a launchpad for leaders, innovators, and trailblazers.
Electives
At Rectory, middle school students have the freedom to dive into their passions, discover new interests, and challenge themselves through our dynamic elective program!
From hands-on creative experiences to skill-building opportunities, this program offers an exciting way to explore a variety of disciplines. Each trimester, students are required to participate in either an elective or a performing art, ensuring they engage in meaningful, enriching experiences beyond the traditional classroom.
Enrichment
Enrichment offers students dedicated time to work with a teacher or tutor based on their individual needs and workload.
For instance, a student may choose to meet with a math teacher to deepen their understanding of a topic, a history teacher to prepare for an upcoming assessment, or a science teacher to review a lab report due the following week.
Skill Block
Skill Block helps students develop the skills that support success in the classroom. These skills include, but are not limited to, organization, planning and prioritizing, self-advocacy, and communication. Skill Block is also a time that supports our Project Read program.
