Meet the Learning Services Team

At the Smith Learning Center, students partner with experienced learning specialists who have the strategies to help them acquire the skills to tackle learning challenges and academic requirements. Team members have advanced degrees or specialized training across a spectrum of areas, including Orton-Gillingham approach, Wilson Reading, Read Naturally, and Just Words. To support students for whom English is not a first language, some instructors have Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certification and advanced work in TOEFL test preparation methodologies. Rectory learning specialists enjoy celebrating milestones—from birthdays to a well-earned grade—with their students, and they know that learning should be an experience that lasts a lifetime.
