Enrichment and Test Preparation

Rectory's Individualized Instruction Program offers opportunities for students to expand his/her knowledge base in an area of interest and/or subjects with strong aptitude (proficiency, rapid learner). In these cases, a tutor works to craft a personalized program that challenges and cultivates a stronger depth of awareness for the student. Our students commonly employ IIP services to help in preparation for SSAT and TOEFL exams, providing the added advantage of comfort due to customized feedback and instruction based on the individual student's needs.

Our Approach:

  • Tutors utilize prior test performance and student diagnostic results to craft a program that is personalized to each student.
  • Tutors employ up-to-date materials and current brain-based research about how students learn best.
  • Tutors communicate with teachers about extension projects or opportunities for independent work or "passion projects" so students can forge ahead in classes where they show advanced proficiency.
  • Students have access to test-preparation manuals and practice exams.
