Many corporations offer matching gift programs that can double or triple the value of your gift to Rectory! What’s more, many employers will also match contributions of spouses, retirees, and trustees. Please contact your Human Resources or Community Relations office for eligibility and matching gift forms. Rectory School’s Tax Exempt ID number is 06-0646805 – 501(c)(3).
Giving a gift of appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds can be to your financial advantage. If you hold securities which would result in a long-term capital gain if sold, you can make an outright gift to Rectory and realize substantial savings on capital gains tax on the appreciation. Thus, the actual cost to you as a donor is often far less than the value of your gift to the school. It is recommended that you consult with your tax advisor to discuss the latest IRS rules and regulations.
It is very important to inform the school if you are making a gift of securities. Contact Laura Calderone in the Development Office at (860) 963-6740 Ext. 338.
To make a gift of stock, instruct your broker to transfer the securities to the account of The Rectory School at Charles Schwab, Depository Trust Company (DTC) #0164, Account #1962-6950.
Please consider supporting Rectory in your will with a bequest or other type of testamentary gift. A popular way to continue your legacy, a bequest is fully deductible for federal estate tax purposes. State inheritance taxes may also be reduced. A bequest may be of any size.
