RESERVATION DEPOSIT: A nonrefundable Reservation Deposit, as noted above, is required with the Enrollment Contract. This amount is credited first against any amount due for Tuition Refund Insurance with the remaining balance credited to the student's school bank account.
TUITION REFUND INSURANCE: As noted in the Enrollment Contract, you are required to pay the entire tuition, including IIP fees if applicable, should your child withdraw or be dismissed for any reason during the school year. To protect families and the School in the event of such withdrawals or dismissals, the School offers Tuition Refund Insurance through A.W.G. Dewar Insurance. This insurance is mandatory unless the entire year's tuition fee (including the IIP fee) is paid in full by July 1, 2017. Families paying in full by July 1, 2017 may elect to purchase Tuition Refund Insurance, if desired. The rate is 2.1% and the insurance fee is calculated on the total tuition and IIP fee due.
STUDENT BANK ACCOUNT (Grades 5-9): Students in grades 5-9 are required to maintain a student bank account. Charges to a student's bank account may include, but are not limited to, school store and athletic purchases, travel expenses, allowance, medical expenses, athletic fees, testing fees, MELP, clubs, and weekend activities. The student bank account must have sufficient funds to allow charging privileges, including weekly allowance. Any balance remaining in the account after all charges have been processed at the end of the school year will be refunded (or applied to the next school year, at the parents' request) in August.
MARCH EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING PROGRAM (MELP) (Grades 5-9): MELP is a mandatory weeklong experiential learning program held the week after spring break, with a variety of options from which the student may choose. The fee for MELP is not covered by tuition and varies based on the program selected; fees range from $300 - $1,800. Fees for MELP may be adjusted prior to start of Fall Term at the time when the program director has actual transportation and lodging costs. The MELP selection is made in October and full payment of the MELP fee is due by the first of December.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ACCIDENT AND HEALTH INSURANCE: International Student Accident and Health Insurance is required for all international students who enter the United States on a foreign passport and do not have primary health insurance with a U.S. insurance company. If you have a non-U.S. address, the cost of this insurance coverage will be added to your billing statement.
Term of Coverage- the 10 month policy will cover your student from September 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: Families may choose from a variety of options to pay tuition, IIP, ESL, and music fees. The Reservation Deposit is credited in July to fund the Student Bank Account and pay the Tuition Refund Insurance, if applicable. Payment options are as follows:
- One payment, payable to The Rectory School via check or wire transfer or tuition portal. 100% due by July 1, 2017.
